Our Hoppi Gojo is built with about 500 different coloured glass bottles. Sunshine makes beautiful light effects inside.This is a construction method of the growing Earthship movement.
It is our only Gojo with a first floor.
Hoppi Gojo, Ground floor
The walls of the ground floor are totally filled with bottles and the light of this room creates a special atmosphere. The room has a Rocket Mass Heater, a system that provides a warm clay bench to chill on and heats the room at night.
This room can host maximum 3 people.

Hoppi Gojo, First floor
This room has additional to the bottles a few windows and is very bright inside. Its specialty is the big verandah which rounds the whole house. Here you can enjoy your breakfast in the mornings or have a view in the evening over the river valley at sunset.

Kaga Gojo
Kaga, amharic : Ethiopian endemic Rose Abyssinica, white blooming
The specialty of the Kaga Gojo is the very traditional character. It was build by the locals just as they build their own homes.
Therefore it has a kod, which is like a loft bed that covers about half of the area of the house.
Locals use the kod for sleeping or as a safe area for their chicken at night.
Beneath you find another sleeping area separated with curtains. In a local Gojo this would be a separated room that serves as a stable.
The other side is an open space with benches and tables, perfect as a living area and get together in the evenings. It is locally used as dining area and meeting space with neighbours and families. It has a Rocket Mass Heater, a system that provides a warm clay bench to chill on and heats the room at night.
This local design allows a little separation in the hut, which makes it perfect for parents with their children or two befriended couples.
The house gives space up to 4 people. It is possible to add sleeping facilities for children.
